A Sad Superstar Tale

How really, really sad this Hearoes tale is.

Last week Wednesday, the Ko-ach team was traveling on the train & there was this young man that had his mp3 device playing extremely loud in his earphones.  We knew that this was far too loud especially if other passengers can hear the music over the noise of the train.  We felt so compelled to warn him of the dangers of loud music in his earphones that we went to speak to him.  We approached him very politely & asked him if he was aware of the dangers of having music so loud in his ears.

"His snorted response was that he needed it that loud because he is a top artist & musician & needs to feel the music!!"

When we tried to explain to him how it can damage his hearing, his attitude was one of that he was above everyone & everything.  He seemed to feel he did not need to listen or take advice, that he was the superstar & that his hearing is invincible.  He felt that us mere mortals should just get away from his presence because who are we to even dare approach his Excellency??  How dare we even come into his presence because we are not worthy????

"He did not even have the gumption to ask who we were & where we got this knowledge."

"For all he knew, we could have been the main contact for someone like the King of record deals, Simon Cowell!!!"

With that attitude, he could have missed out on a life changing opportunity!!

It really strikes me as crazy, that there are people out there who feel they have made it but yet are still traveling on public transport & not chauffer driven!!  They feel they have made it & don’t want or need to listen to anyone who is trying to help them!!!

"What you sow is what you reap.  You sow deafness & hearing damage; you reap deafness & hearing damage."

Only someone being foolish would sow apples and expect to read bananas!!!!!

He said he needs to feel & hear the music in his ears, which convinces me that he already has hearing damage!!!

How can you help anyone if they are not willing to listen or learn??

How can you help anyone if they feel they are the superstar & the most important thing in their own eyes?

How can you help anyone who really seems ignorant & wants to stay ignorant?

How can we really become “Hearoes” & spread the message & break the taboos that stubborn people have?

Be a “Hearoe” to people that are willing & up change.

The rest, you can only consign them to their fate & the judgement of their actions.

Always strive to be a “Hearoe” to everyone else.
